Across Australia, housing supply is strained and prices are rising.

We know this is especially the case in Queensland, due to our booming economy and post
COVID increases to interstate and international migration.

That’s why the Miles Government has released Homes for Queenslanders, a comprehensive
plan to deliver more homes and make sure renters have a fair go.

Homes for Queenslanders plan is focused on five key pillars:
1. Building more homes faster;
2. Supporting Queensland renters;
3. Helping first homeowners into the market;
4. Boosting our social housing Big Build; and
5. Working towards ending homelessness.

We will leave no stone unturned to create more affordable housing.

And that’s why our plan maps out a path towards building 1 million more homes in
Queensland.

Backed with more than $3 billion additional investment, Homes for Queenslanders will deliver
a generation’s worth of secure construction jobs and ensure that Queenslanders can afford to
live and work in the community that they love.

By acting now, we can create a better housing system that delivers affordable homes, and the
quality of life our community deserves.

Because every Queenslander deserves a place to call home.

The LNP’s record is clear. When last in power they brutally cut funding for new social
housing by 90 per cent, sacked 1,600 QBuild workers and tried to privatise public housing

The Greens also need to match their talk with action. We need the Greens to support
Homes for Queenslanders and not play politics on this important issue. They say they care
about housing but every time there is a new housing development they oppose it.

The Greens delayed federal investment in public housing, investments in housing for women
and children fleeing domestic and family violence and direct investment for housing in remote
indigenous communities.
